Oh Shut-up Leonard!... This time he speaks!

thehollywoodinterview.blogspot.com has an interview with our favorite senior Greendale student... Leonard!

Leonard is actually Richard Erdman an Actor whose career has spanned over 7 decades! Erdman has stared in such classic TV shows as "Perry Mason""Mister Ed" and in movies like The Men with Marlon Brando.

Here Mr. Erdman talks about The MenStalag 17, living with Marlon Brando and why finding his character on Community has been so hard!

From thehollywoodinterview.blogspot.com:
So you’ve been on this new show "Community" a couple times?

I’ve done three so far, and I’ve got two more. They just got picked up for a second season… why, I’m not sure; it’s about #60 in the ratings.

Who’s your character?

I don’t know. They’re just these little bitty parts. I asked the director, “Who the hell is this guy?” He said he didn’t know. So I went and found the writer and asked him, and he said, “We’re going to find out in the eighth show.” I said, “How should I be playing it until then?” He said, “We haven’t decided yet.”

Chevy Chase... The nicest man in Hollywood: Hot tub time machine featurette

collider.com has a featurette on Hot Tub Time Machine which opens March 26th.

The featurette features some classic behind the scenes footage of Chevy clowning around on set and having a lot of fun with his role of the mysterious Hot Tube repairman.

Looks like the cast was not quite sure how to take some of Chevy's antics but grew to love him... like we all do.

a group of best friends who’ve become bored with their adult lives: Adam (John Cusack) has been dumped by his girlfriend; Lou (Rob Corddry) is a party guy who can’t find the party; Nick’s (Craig Robinson) wife controls his every move; and video game-obsessed Jacob (Clark Duke) won’t leave his basement. After a crazy night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, the men wake up, heads pounding, in the year 1986. This is their chance to kick some past and change their futures - one will find a new love life, one will learn to stand up for himself with the ladies, one will find his mojo, and one will make sure he still exists!

    Get to know Donald Glover!

The New York Times has a great profile of Donald Glover.

The profile explores his rise to fame, why he left 30 Rock and how “His Day Job Subsidizes All That Other Stuff!”

    NYtimes.com writes:
The show’s creator, Dan Harmon, cast Mr. Glover as Troy, whom Mr. Harmon calls “a dumb jock.” “Donald has to work hard, because there’s a great distance between him and this character,” Mr. Harmon said. “You can feel his potential. Someday I’ll be cashing in on the fact that I worked with him.”

    Funniest Chevy lines! S01E18

Last night's episode gave us lots of laughs and lots of classic Chevy lines! Pierce worked in call girls, Asian stereotypes and even a swastika!
I give you the funniest Chevy lines from Basic Genealogy.

Pierce to Chang: "Hey... duck sauce, that was rude!"

Pierce to Chang: "The call girls I frequent are not nearly as attractive as my daughter."

Pierce guessing at Pictionary: "Smiling… sideways vagina?  Happy, sideways vagina."

Pierce to Jeff for guessing right: "As happy as a clam... what …a gay guess… idiot!"

Honorable mention goes to Ken Jeong for hiting several out of the park!

Chang to class: “Wow, I can’t believe Star-burns isn’t a virgin… but judging from that Bluetooth headset, his son is.  CHA-CHANG!”

Chang to class: “It’s none of you business but I ate my twin in utero!”

Chang to Abed’s cousin: “Hey, Phantom Menace, how’s the trade embargo with the Naboo?”

    Also Kudos to the cop:

Cop:  “I may just be a simple cop but people need to know… this is not going to stop until Pictionary bans the word Windmill.”

And finally Jeff and Pierce crying:
    Jeff:  “I hate Glee!”
Pierce: “I’m not crazy about Glee either.”
Jeff: “I hate it… I don’t understand the appeal at all.”

The saddest thing about last weeks episode was finding out that last week Pierce farted on Vaughn and we missed it!

    Clips of last nights episode!

Jeff and Pierce share a touching, yet awkward, moment on the dance floor at the Family Day gala.

    I hate Glee!

You can rewatch the full episode online as well, and enjoy Greendale’s Family Day with your favorite community college students: http://www.nbc.com/community/video/episodes/?vid=1208332.

Community: Katharine McPhee and Joel McHale Make Out Like Crazy...and Tell!

Sexual tension is spreading across the net with Joel and Katharine McPhee dishing about tonight's episode!

    Eonline.com:
Katharine may only show up in a single episode (for now), but it's packed with hilarious twists and turns. "When I first appear, I'm this very sweet, innocent stepdaughter of Pierce. And you learn that I'm a little bit of a different character than you would've thought from the initial reaction," she tells us.

And according to Joel, Katharine was more than up to the task of conquering the complex character. "She was just great and she more than held her own with a cast that is so great," Joel says. "She just kicked ass. She's one of those people that you want to be around and hang around. Chevy loved her—and we had all these crazy makeout scenes together!"

Racial slurs and the return of Star-burns, must be a new Community!

Thats right, theflickcast.com has two clips of this weeks episode "Basic Geneology."

It’s Family Day at Greendale Community College and the gang’s families come to campus to join in the fun. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) agrees to help Pierce (Chevy Chase) connect with his stepdaughter Amber (guest star Katharine McPhee). Things take an interesting twist when Amber shows an interest in Jeff.

Community: Renewed, Going to the Prom

Good news all around. After the announced renewal, Dan Harmon has something big planned for us in the firsts season finale!

A Prom themed episode.  I have a feeling there may even been a few Pretty in Pink references mixed in!

    from TV fanitic.com

"We're definitely going to give the fans something worthy of a finale," said producer Dan Harmon. "We follow the school year, so we get to do prom. It has to end with a prom-bang, my homage to a Dawson's Creek-y vibe."
Overall, "the last couple of episodes satisfy all the urges you have about Community. We're batting cleanup with the drama, the sap and the comedy, as well," Harmon added.

    Another great Community Music montage!

    NBC Renews COMMUNITY

As predicted NBC has renewed Community for a Second season!
Thats right a Chevy Chase show has actually been picked up for a second season!

    From the Huffington post:
NBC announced Friday that it has ordered a second season of "Community," its original comedy about life at a community college.
Dan Harmon, the show's creator and one of its executive producers, posted video of himself breaking the good news to the cast. Harmon fakes them out at first, pretending he's got bad news, but shouts of elation erupt when he explains that they'll have to work with Chevy Chase for at least one more season.

First-year comedy “Community” is averaging a 2.7 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall so far this season, with “Community” originals winning the time period among adults 18-34 and men 18-34.  Since moving to the Thursday 8-8:30 p.m. (ET) half-hour on October 8, “Community” has improved the time period by 24 percent versus NBC’s adult 18-49 average earlier in the season.

John Hughes To Get Special Oscar Tribute

This is slightly off topic but not when you consider the countless references and tributes Community has made to the work of Film Maker John Hughes.

Be sure not to miss this year’s Oscars Sunday night which will feature a stand alone tribute to John Hughes.

Hughes is best known for writing and/or directing some of our favorite films from the 1980’s - National Lampoon’s Vacation, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, European Vacation, Weird Science, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Uncle Buck, Christmas Vacation, and Home Alone.

    Funniest Chevy lines s01e17

With last night’s “Physical Education” we got one of the funniest episodes yet and as always Mr. Chase gave us some of the funniest lines!

“If all Chinese were psychic, you would have started using birth control centuries ago.”

“I can’t think of anything more frightening than a half-Polish, half-Arab virgin in his 30s. One way or the other, that story ends with an explosion.”

    Honorable mention goes to:

Abed for quickly saying “13,” a la Rain Man, after Jeff knocks a bag of bagels onto the floor.

Coach Bogner: “Jeff Winger, shouldn’t you be at an Urban Outfitters?”

    3 New Community Mini-Episodes!

'Community': Chevy Chase falls backwards, burps into his mic and outs Joel McHale's hemorrhoid problem

The cast and the producers of NBC's "Community" hit thePaleyFest on Wednesday and though the shenanigans of one Mr. Chevy Chase were certainly a treat for the crowd.

    Joel McHale gets naked
Attention, Joel McHale fans: his character, Jeff Winger, strips all the way down in tonight's episode. This isn't HBO, so we don't see much, but that doesn't mean McHale didn't feel performance anxiety. "I shaved down," he admitted. He also confessed to getting a spray tan and going on what he called the "I'm going to be naked in two weeks" diet. The episode also contains a same-sex kiss, about which McHale deadpanned, "It's just odd to kiss someone who has stubble, because my wife shaves every day."

One big happy family... minus Chevy Chase
There was a clear rapport between the cast members on the stage. Jeong spent much of the evening guffawing and playing off of Chase. Everyone complimented one another repeatedly. As Harmon put it, "The cast, minus Chevy, is so nice." And true to form, Chase responded with, "I feel so young working with them. Well, no I don't, actually. I feel like an old shit." But the he let his curmudgeonly front down for some heartwarming sincerity, comparing the cast of Community to the original cast of Saturday Night Live before returning to the funny: "And what about [Joel McHale's] torso?"

I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not
Seriously, though, it always came back to Chase, who feigned sleep, gargled his water, and parroted Jeong. Annoying? Kind of. But he's Chevy Chase, and he's allowed to do whatever he wants. As one of the Russo brothers noted, "[Speaking] is impossible. I'm just gonna be upstaged by Chevy." The panel couldn't help themselves from revealing interesting tidbits about their comedy icon co-star, such as his proclivity for name-calling. "He is the funniest person on the set," McHale gushed, "and then he calls you a prick."
