Joel McHale and the men of 'Community' on list of the funniest men on television!

www.examiner.com has a story naming the “funniest men on television” and Joel McHale and the men of 'Community' are on the list. Here’s what they had to say:

'Community', in its first season on NBC, is a refreshing and hilarious comedy that follows a study group of misfits at a subpar community college. Starring Joel McHale of E!'s 'The Soup' with a supporting cast including Chevy Chase and The Hangover's Ken Jeong, 'Community' has hilarity and heart. While you're laughing at the characters, you also come to care about them - much of which can be attributed to the talented actors who portray the strange but lovable characters.

I think the girls are funny too!

AV club Interview: Alison Brie

As always the AV club has done another wonderful interview and this time it is with our Alison Brie.

In it they ask about the improvisation of Community,
Dan Harmon's future plans for the show, the sexual tension between Jeff and Annie and much more.

Check this out:
AVC: The show played up a sexual tension between your character and Joel McHale’s in a recent episode. Was that always the plan?
AB: I don’t know. It’s hard to know what the writers had been planning beforehand. But I think that when we originally got the script for the debate episode, they had that written in the script. And I don’t know that they were looking to get the characters together, really. It was kind of done with a sense of humor, that plotline, but the audience reactions to that episode were really enthusiastic. I know that everyone really took notice of that, but you never know what they’re going to do. We’ll just have to see.

AVC: In interviews, other cast members have said that creator Dan Harmon has lots of big plans for the show and its characters. Has he told you more deep dark secrets from Annie’s past?
AB: No, no, not really. I feel like that is another one of the things, that the longer we work on the show, the more the writers just start surprising you. Dan hasn’t really told me about anything deep, dark that’s coming up. You know, I’ll learn about it right before we’re gonna do an episode. It makes it kind of fun. You wanna do a lot of backstory for your character—as an actor, you wanna research that. But on the show, it’s fun to remain in that naïve place as you go along, and be able to continue to discover things about your character as the writers come up with them.

Wanna look as good as Alison Brie? Here's how!

hollywoodlife.com has an interview with Alison's make up artist Heidi Nymark who explained just how she made Alison look so beautiful for the Lela Rose runway show at Bryant Park in NYC on Feb. 14.

Here's what she says:
  • “For a luminous complexion, I accented her cheek bones with a soft pink.” She used Tina Turnbow for Tarte’s flower child natural cheek stain.
  • On her eyes, “It was all about her voluminous lashes,” Heidi says. She used a combination of soft shadows from the Tarte Femme Naturale shadow palette and coated her lashes with Tarte’s lights, camera, lashes! palette.
  • “I wanted to create a soft, healthy red lip,” Heidi says. She used Tarte’s LipSurgence natural lip stain in lust and topped it with a nude gloss.

I knew she used a Tarte Femme Naturale shadow palette!

Interview with Community Creator Dan Harmon!

Eonline.com’s Watch with Kristen has a great interview about Community and its future with Dan Harmon!

In it he explains Community’s chances of a second season pickup:
“I'm as confident as you can possibly get about a renewal without actually, you know, being able to bet my grandma's life on it.”
Also a message Harmon wants to get to all the fans of Community:

“I want everyone to know that if they don't understand that it's possible to go to community college for four years. They should Google it. It happens all the time. There are bachelor's degree programs in community colleges all over the country! I mean, we could talk about a four-year shelf life, but I don't want anyone to keep talking about how community college is only two years long. Maybe for some characters it would be. Jeff Winger is there to get a four-year degree so...suck it and love it!”
All good stuff.

Save the date: 'Community' finale set for May 20

NBC just confirmed that the Community finale is scheduled for Thursday, May 20.

Must see TV is back!
Thursday, May 20: Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office, 30 Rock (8-10 pm/Et)

Still no word on Community being picked up for a season two but things look hopeful.

Dan Harmon tells us today that:
"No official news is unofficial good news in our situation. I'm perky. not "tell your friends to wait for the season 1 DVD" confident. More "tell your friends to watch the show NOW" confident."
So no news is good news... I have a good feeling.

The Griswold’s take over the NET!

Homeaway.com has been Griswoldized… okay that’s was a stretch but they have added a game and lots of classic clips including the super bowl spot and the full length short film!

Check it out at Homeaway.com for more fun!

Chevy Chase Vacation short leaked early?

I don't know if this was leaked or if Homeaway.com posted this two days early but here is what looks like the full Hotel Hell Vacation short.

The 30 second ad (which cost 2.5 million by the way) will air during the super bowl's 3rd quarter teasing the short film that was supposed to be available the following day.

Perhaps Homeaway.com has more planned.

Regardless be sure to check out the site Monday for Griswold planned fun and games.

The short is really funny.  It is a big commercial for Homeaway.com but has some great moments.

Plus Beverly looks amazing and I got a little teary eyed seeing them together again and in the truckster!

Check out what I think is the full 15 minute short here!
