The boys from Community pose for GQ!

Thats right the male cast of Community is featured in this months issue of GQ.  They guys show of some of the latest fashions... and yes that is Chevy peeing in the corner!
From GQ:Gant by Michael Bastian
On the Cast of Community
Took the reins: 2009, New York City
Designer: Michael Bastian, 45
The aesthetic: The beloved American heritage brand gets a pick-me-up from one of the marquee interpreters of American style. The result is classic sports-influenced preppy (madras, rugby shirts, navy blazers) updated with bolder patterns and colors and slimmer fits.
Every man should own: "A pair of five-pocket cords. They work with everything, and you need to give your jeans a rest. Sometimes there's a little too much denim static out there."
Fashion pet peeve: "I'm ready for the whole stylist phenomenon with celebrities to go away. People always ask, 'Whose style do you admire?' Well, it's hard to say, because I don't think we're seeing personal style; we're seeing hired style."
Inspiration: "No one has more style than a New York City 7-year-old. I live next to a school in Greenwich Village, and it's always so cool to see the parents walking their kids to school, because it's two moms or two dads, mixed-race families, and you can see that the kids are just allowed to be themselves and pick their own clothes in the morning."
All clothes, Gant by Michael Bastian. From far left: 1. Blazer, $695. Polo shirt, $115. Chinos, $165. Sneakers by Converse. Pocket square by The Tie Bar. 2. T-shirt, $89. Shorts, $198. Moccasins by Minnetonka Moccasin. Socks by Pantherella. Watch by Timex. Hat by Zanerobe. 3. Suit jacket, $695; pants, $345. Rugby shirt, $135. Shirt, $195. Tie, $125. Loafers by G.H. Bass & Co. 4. Ken Jeong, Twilight spoof Trailer!:

Some of the press I am seeing for this film seems to imply that Ken is the star of the spoof.  I can’t confirm just how big a role he will have but I can only guess that he will be the funniest thing in the movie!

Still no word on Chevy Chase’s unreleased low budget spoof “Not another, not another movie” which may never be released but does have a trailer!

Check here for more on the film:

Ken Jeong in Twilight?

Well not really.  It seems the spoof guys are at it again.  This time it is a spoof of... you guessed it, Vampire movies.  Apparently the film is being filmed and rushed out this summer!

From newsinfilm.com

The 3,574-th send-up of the genre series will be cobbled together by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, better known as the unfunny pair of spoofsters behind Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and the aptly-titled Disaster Movie.
Jeong supporting actor on NBC’s hilarious comedy series “Community” and the nemesis of The Hangover.  But despite his comedic qualifications, the 40-year-old actor will be wading through the same stagnant material we’ve may have laughed at two years ago.
Expect the same recycled bits about intense staring, Robert Pattinson’s hair, and Kristen Stewart’s lip-biting.  That’s just the Twilight gags.  I’m sure it’ll be packed with corny jokes about “True Blood” and “Vampire Diaries” too.  Don’t forget other dated references like Lady Gaga, Sarah Palin, and Tiger Woods.  Oh, and lots of scatological humor.
What’s surprising is the movie is scheduled for this August 18 (a Wednesday), which speaks volumes about the quality of a movie coming together two months before its theatrical date.  That’s already a crowded weekend, but the spoof could benefit from the long tail of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which bows June 30.  Or, you know, it could bomb.
I might just wait for the Hangover 2!

And the Winner is Ken Jeong!

Not only did Ken Jeong just win “Best WTF moment” for his performance in The Hangover, this weekend at the MTV movie Awards he had the most sentimental speech at the awards show.  People magazine has the story where he thanks his wife who was battling breast cancer at the time of the filming for making him do the film.

From People online:
Ken Jeong, who famously played the naked crime lord in The Hangover, was a scene-stealer again Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards, honoring his wife's battle against breast cancer with a moving tribute and tears onstage and backstage.
"Todd [Phillips] and Bradley Cooper ... helped me through a really difficult time when my wife was going through breast-cancer treatment," an emotional Jeong, 40, said in accepting the award for Best WTF Moment. "The reason why I did this is that she taught me that life is short, and don't be afraid to take chances."
Jeong's wife Tran, who has been cancer free for two years, beamed from her seat inside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles
Tears welled up again backstage as Jeong talked more about his wife, with whom he has twin daughters Alexa and Zooey. "She is the brave one and just my best friend, my inspiration," he said. "I'm just really grateful. ... I was just celebrating her. This whole night is about celebrating her."

Funniest Chevy lines! S01E18

Last night's episode gave us lots of laughs and lots of classic Chevy lines! Pierce worked in call girls, Asian stereotypes and even a swastika!
I give you the funniest Chevy lines from Basic Genealogy.

Pierce to Chang: "Hey... duck sauce, that was rude!"

Pierce to Chang: "The call girls I frequent are not nearly as attractive as my daughter."

Pierce guessing at Pictionary: "Smiling… sideways vagina?  Happy, sideways vagina."

Pierce to Jeff for guessing right: "As happy as a clam... what …a gay guess… idiot!"

Honorable mention goes to Ken Jeong for hiting several out of the park!

Chang to class: “Wow, I can’t believe Star-burns isn’t a virgin… but judging from that Bluetooth headset, his son is.  CHA-CHANG!”

Chang to class: “It’s none of you business but I ate my twin in utero!”

Chang to Abed’s cousin: “Hey, Phantom Menace, how’s the trade embargo with the Naboo?”

Also Kudos to the cop:

Cop:  “I may just be a simple cop but people need to know… this is not going to stop until Pictionary bans the word Windmill.”

And finally Jeff and Pierce crying:
Jeff:  “I hate Glee!”
Pierce: “I’m not crazy about Glee either.”
Jeff: “I hate it… I don’t understand the appeal at all.”

The saddest thing about last weeks episode was finding out that last week Pierce farted on Vaughn and we missed it!

Racial slurs and the return of Star-burns! Two new clips!

Racial slurs and the return of Star-burns, must be a new Community!

Thats right, theflickcast.com has two clips of this weeks episode "Basic Geneology."

It’s Family Day at Greendale Community College and the gang’s families come to campus to join in the fun. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) agrees to help Pierce (Chevy Chase) connect with his stepdaughter Amber (guest star Katharine McPhee). Things take an interesting twist when Amber shows an interest in Jeff.

The gloves come off... damn that pictionary!

'Community': Chevy Chase falls backwards, burps into his mic and outs Joel McHale's hemorrhoid problem

The cast and the producers of NBC's "Community" hit thePaleyFest on Wednesday and though the shenanigans of one Mr. Chevy Chase were certainly a treat for the crowd.

Joel McHale gets naked
Attention, Joel McHale fans: his character, Jeff Winger, strips all the way down in tonight's episode. This isn't HBO, so we don't see much, but that doesn't mean McHale didn't feel performance anxiety. "I shaved down," he admitted. He also confessed to getting a spray tan and going on what he called the "I'm going to be naked in two weeks" diet. The episode also contains a same-sex kiss, about which McHale deadpanned, "It's just odd to kiss someone who has stubble, because my wife shaves every day."

One big happy family... minus Chevy Chase
There was a clear rapport between the cast members on the stage. Jeong spent much of the evening guffawing and playing off of Chase. Everyone complimented one another repeatedly. As Harmon put it, "The cast, minus Chevy, is so nice." And true to form, Chase responded with, "I feel so young working with them. Well, no I don't, actually. I feel like an old shit." But the he let his curmudgeonly front down for some heartwarming sincerity, comparing the cast of Community to the original cast of Saturday Night Live before returning to the funny: "And what about [Joel McHale's] torso?"

I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not
Seriously, though, it always came back to Chase, who feigned sleep, gargled his water, and parroted Jeong. Annoying? Kind of. But he's Chevy Chase, and he's allowed to do whatever he wants. As one of the Russo brothers noted, "[Speaking] is impossible. I'm just gonna be upstaged by Chevy." The panel couldn't help themselves from revealing interesting tidbits about their comedy icon co-star, such as his proclivity for name-calling. "He is the funniest person on the set," McHale gushed, "and then he calls you a prick."

Joel McHale and the men of 'Community' on list of the funniest men on television!

www.examiner.com has a story naming the “funniest men on television” and Joel McHale and the men of 'Community' are on the list. Here’s what they had to say:

'Community', in its first season on NBC, is a refreshing and hilarious comedy that follows a study group of misfits at a subpar community college. Starring Joel McHale of E!'s 'The Soup' with a supporting cast including Chevy Chase and The Hangover's Ken Jeong, 'Community' has hilarity and heart. While you're laughing at the characters, you also come to care about them - much of which can be attributed to the talented actors who portray the strange but lovable characters.

I think the girls are funny too!
